E19 — From Corporate Giants to Startups with Judit Petho

"What separates people who are good at being a CEO is this ability to take advice, but also act and then be able to deal with the consequences, whether good or bad."

A reminder. This substack has two sections:

  1. Unconditionally Human (essays on Sundays) about AI-first startups, coaching, etc.

  2. Startup CEO Succession (this podcast).

You can (un)subscribe to them individually.

, however, has experience in top roles across small, mid-sized and large companies, across different countries and markets.

In our conversation today, we discuss what it’s like to lead a business at different levels of scale: what parts of the skillset are similar, and what parts are different. We also discuss the importance of soft skills. It’s ironic that we call them soft skills, given they are often harder to acquire and use than so-called hard skills.
