It's a genuinely hard question to answer, despite having built a training business (makers.tech) and studied CS. On the one hand, education will still matter: even if how research will be done will be different, someone with a PhD level education will have a deeper understanding of the subject than someone without. On the other hand, how things will be done will surely change, much like a lot of chemistry is done today on a computer and not in a wet lab like 50 years ago.
